About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee recruitment, development, training, and management of assigned residential EnergyWise Home program licensed contractors and technicians
- Provide training and support for installation and servicing of EnergyWise Home devices
- Ensure positive customer experience while controlling program costs
- Control inventory and ensure contractual compliance
- Conduct on-site inspections and ensure NEC compliance
- Perform electrical and HVAC diagnostics
- Manage escalations and evaluate technical field tasks
- Resolve customer claims regarding residential EnergyWise Home program offerings
- Provide Duke Energy Storm Response support as needed
- Oversee quality and customer experience of daily service work and ensure code compliance, financial O&M targets, customer experience, and delivery KPIs are met
- Lead escalation processes with customers, vendor operation managers, code enforcement officials, and manufacturers' representatives
- Recruit, hire, and train electrical, HVAC, and appliance service providers within an assigned territory
- Manage vendor inventory levels, product quality, and financial accountability
- Negotiate and/or administer trade ally contracts regarding fee structure, delivery schedules, service levels, and program compliance
- Monitor vendor performance, licensing, insurance requirements, and agreement compliance; provide corrective action plans and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration and a minimum of 1 year of related work experience, or an Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Journeyman License and/or HVAC/Telecommunications Accredited Certification and/or State Electrical Inspector’s Certification
- Residential electrical, mechanical, or construction work experience under a State Licensed/Registered Contractor or Energy Company preferred
- Must be able to obtain state Electrical Inspector certification within six months of hire
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- 50+% travel
- 24/7 on-call responsibility for a period of one week at a time
- Employee must live within a reasonable commute to the posted reporting location, not greater than 50 miles one way
