About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Nuclear Report Intelligence (NRI) team as an Information Technology Intern
Work with business intelligence, data analytics, reporting solutions, workflow automation, artificial intelligence, and application development technologies
Enhance NRI solutions, reporting platforms, data integration initiatives, and AI-enabled search capabilities
Develop Python automations
Perform data analysis and reporting using PostgreSQL and SQL
Develop Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
Create dashboards and reports
Support data integration and process improvement initiatives
Contribute to AI-enabled search and knowledge management solutions
Collaborate with experienced professionals to support team objectives and business outcomes
Participate in networking opportunities, site visits, professional development activities, and engagement with organizational leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred majors include Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Must not graduate prior to August 2027
GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
Previous internship, project, research, or leadership experience preferred
Interest in data analytics, business intelligence, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies preferred
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL query development preferred
Experience working with datasets and performing data analysis preferred
Exposure to Python programming and automation concepts preferred
Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate preferred
Experience creating dashboards, reports, visualizations, or automated workflows preferred
Understanding of data modeling, business intelligence, and reporting concepts preferred
Exposure to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar database technologies preferred
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, or related collaboration tools preferred
Familiarity with REST APIs, system integration concepts, or source control tools such as Git preferred
Knowledge of Power Query, DAX, or data transformation techniques preferred
Exposure to AI, Copilot, machine learning, or semantic search technologies preferred
Willingness to learn and a growth mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
Reliable, consistent transportation required
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
