About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of change on a single complex project, transformational effort, or across multiple initiatives within a program
- Deliver business outcomes dependent on successful adoption of solutions
- Define and deliver change management strategies, approaches, and plans across multiple engagements
- Apply Prosci methodology, tools, and approaches; coach internal client team members on usage
- Use instruments and tools to describe and plan change impacts and customize methodologies based on prior experience
- Determine factors contributing to strong sponsorship and coach and support sponsors on expected behaviors
- Serve as the primary contact for sponsors
- Execute and manage change management scope for large-scale programs and projects, including sponsorship, coaching, communications, training, and resistance management plans
- Create desired patterns in human dynamics, including behaviors, mindsets, and culture
- Integrate change management with project management and influence mitigation strategies
- Develop organizational best practices
- Integrate success measures, metrics, and monitoring across multiple initiatives
- Develop change management programs to solve complex business or company issues
- Find innovative solutions
- Coach and advise sponsors
- Anticipate internal and external business challenges and needs
- Provide advice and technical expertise to organizations, groups, and executive management in change management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree AND six (6) years related work experience
- In lieu of Bachelors degrees AND 6 years related work experience: High School/GED AND 10 years related work experience
- Certified Change Management Professional
- Strong leadership skills, including negotiation, conflict management, influencing, and giving and receiving feedback
- Ability to communicate a vision and obtain buy-in
- Ability to adapt as business needs change
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with large-scale change initiatives and oversight to contingent workers
- Experience working with agile teams, approaches, and tools
- Competency in one or more complementary disciplines such as project management, Agile, innovation, design thinking, customer experience, training, communication, or digital transformation
- Experience in supplier contract management
- Experience with leadership meeting preparation and support
- Experience with employee engagement responsibility
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to work within a reasonable commute, not greater than 50 miles one way, to the designated Duke Energy facility
