About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct oversight and execution of lighting construction and maintenance activities
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices, construction standards, work methods, and procedures
- Manage job readiness, crew productivity, work planning, job execution, inspections, audits, and resource utilization
- Serve as the point of contact for lighting construction crew utilization and contractor resource requests
- Manage contractor crews and assigned two-week work schedules
- Perform job readiness checks and document and resolve work-plan anomalies
- Monitor work orders, crew status, crew complements, productivity, safety, quality, and work-plan adherence
- Coordinate construction, maintenance, restoration, and emergent storm-response activities
- Arrange equipment and material needs and adjust estimated labor hours and scheduled resources
- Provide job-specific information, drawings, work orders, and material lists to construction crews
- Support switching and tagging requirements and reduce rework and warranty claims
- Inspect, monitor, and audit contractor safety and work quality
- Manage incident reporting, safety audit findings, Human Performance action plans, and field inspections
- Manage time and equipment contract additions and validate contractor time-sheet charges
- Build relationships with customers, builders, developers, electricians, utilities, governmental interfaces, and internal partners
- Coordinate with Schedulers, CM Specialists, Managers, Planners, Engineers, Contractor Specialists, and zone operations
- Resolve contractor-related customer issues, disputes, complaints, and claims
- Support after-hours storm response and direct contractors during restoration events
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School/GED
- 3 years minimum of related work experience
- Must reside within the service territory of the region served
- Employee must live within a reasonable commute to the posted reporting location, not greater than 50 miles one way
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- 15-25% travel required
- Strong Distribution C&M experience (desired: 6 years)
- Working knowledge of Distribution Safe Work Practices
- Knowledge of Distribution design and quality standards
- Exceptional personal safety record
- Leadership skills
- Distribution C&M experience (desired: 8 years)
- Communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to be self-directed
- Satisfactory work availability during and after work hours
- Influencing skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Experience in multiple roles in Distribution
- Computer skills, including Distribution computer systems, Outlook, and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to achieve team results through others
- Experience handling contract performance issues
