About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Inspect, analyze, and repair reported metering equipment failures
  • Conduct service verification and site analysis at customer premises on metering circuits for transformer-rated installations
  • Conduct preventive and regulatory testing and inspection
  • Inspect and complete multi-meter exchange projects with varied metering configurations
  • Ensure correct physical, programming, and billing parameters for revenue metering installations
  • Design and construct new transformer-rated revenue metering installations and verifications for overhead and underground applications
  • Work with primary and secondary voltages, including C&I metering, interchange metering, and wholesale customer metering
  • Perform or participate in special projects and assignments, including storms and study teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • Two (2) or more years related work experience
  • Valid state Driver’s license
  • 1-3 years of transformer rated metering experience
  • Knowledge of various methods of material and metering applications
  • Ability to perform non-climbing functions, such as setting and removing meters
  • Ability to effectively handle conflict
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Self-Motivated, ability to work along with minimal oversight
  • Employee must live within a reasonable commute to the posted reporting location, not greater than 50 miles one way
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Available to work on-call schedule
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
