About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support to work groups in the organization
  • Support multiple managers with limited supervision
  • Use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes
  • Prepare and update functional reports or records requiring information compiled from multiple sources
  • Maintain plant records as required
  • Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail, and email
  • Maintain files and calendars
  • Arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and track expenses
  • Update plant design documents, drawings, and procedures while maintaining compliance
  • Provide assistance in multiple areas as needed
  • Travel for training and/or assistance at other sites and work overtime when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School/GED AND two (2) years minimum required related experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (both written and oral) in a clear, concise and effective manner
  • Ability to effectively interface with multiple across a department, e.g. managers, supervisors, employees
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with changing conditions
  • Experience with the Nuclear Learning Management System (NLMS)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) (Fusion, CastPro, etc.)
  • Knowledge of work-hour rules for fatigue and degraded Alertness that may impact the safety of the plant, personnel, and public
  • Experience with timekeeping for larger departments including project capital utilization
  • Experience with coordinating dynamic learning scenarios or teaching and learning stations to improve performance of workforce behaviors
  • Experience creating and managing depth and breadth of required qualifications for multi-disciplined training program
  • Experience with emergency response organization duty roster initiation and management
  • Experience coordinating resources, in-processing, nuclear badging activities for both Duke and contract workers
  • Ability to coordinate mail deliveries and department office requests including lifting office supplies
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
