About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform reporting and data analysis for supply chain and work management functions
  • Obtain financial and supply chain data from various applications using enterprise reporting tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services
  • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI solutions, including interactive dashboards, paginated reports, data models, automated workflows, and advanced analytics
  • Interpret data, identify patterns, and evaluate supply chain effectiveness
  • Write queries to mine and synthesize large datasets using SQL, Python, R Studio, SAS, or equivalent
  • Collaborate with external consultants, suppliers, stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts
  • Serve as data owner for Grid Analytics, Supply Chain, and Work/Asset Management functions
  • Consult with users to specify, design, and develop reports, measures, data, and data structures
  • Prepare dashboard reports for supply chain and business unit management
  • Provide direction and approval for data management structures, tables, and universes
  • Extract observations and insights from internal and external data sources
  • Create ad-hoc reports for end-user business requirements
  • Explore, cleanse, validate, and test data
  • Perform opportunity analysis to identify planning, sourcing, spend, inventory management, and supplier improvements
  • Support development and maintenance of automated applications, tools, and processes
  • Recommend, create, modify, document, and approve application data mart settings and functional specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Information Technology, or Business Administration
  • 3 years of related work experience
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Advanced query writing skills for data mining and synthesizing large datasets using SQL, Python, R Studio, SAS, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding and ability to use programming languages such as SQL, Python, SAS, and R
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Demonstrated understanding of business functions and ability to discern business impact
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, attention to detail, critical thinking, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Supply chain experience preferred, including data management/warehouse applications, supply chain strategy or analytics, and business process reengineering
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced prediction models
  • Data mining knowledge spanning a range of disciplines
  • Strong exploratory analysis skills
  • Project Management Professional and/or Certified Public Accountant certification preferred
