About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, and Direct Load Control strategies and programs
- Evaluate program value and propose enhancements to energy efficiency and demand response programs
- Support regulatory applications and filings
- Analyze policy positions and analytical results; help draft testimony
- Track and evaluate federal, state, and local policies
- Communicate with internal project developers, program managers, stakeholders, third-party evaluators, and consultants
- Review EMV plans, schedules, impact reports, evaluation reports, deliverables, and recommendations for accuracy and compliance
- Present EMV results and preliminary findings to internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Track EMV reports, regulatory orders, and EMV commitments
- Support Strategic Planning, Asset Planning, Products & Services, and Rates with advanced technical expertise
- Provide analytical support for program design and implementation
- Consult with retail energy-efficiency program teams on EMV processes and results
- Support program managers with new or revised programs and guide information collection for evaluating program changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Market Research, Finance, Statistics, Business, or Economics
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of statistical methodologies, DSM cost-effectiveness analysis, financial analysis, and marketing effectiveness measurement
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
- Ability to efficiently analyze data
- Good interpersonal / team skills
- Demonstrated effective work habits, initiative, persistence, continual learning, knowledge and innovation
- Experience in regulatory approval and review process
- Experience in presenting and defending testimony
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to shift priorities based on evolving deadlines
- Demonstrated communication skills in public forums
- Must live within a reasonable commute, not greater than 50 miles one way, to a designated Duke Energy facility
- Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
