About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, schedule, communicate, coordinate, and oversee radiographic examinations and associated NDE activities across the nuclear fleet
- Coordinate implementation of Routine NDE activities throughout the fleet, excluding Steam Generator inspection activities
- Develop implementation strategies, contingency plans, status reports, management briefings, contract requisitions, and site presentations
- Arrange site-specific support and ensure vendor/internal equipment and personnel are prepared for inspections
- Provide field-execution oversight to verify progress, radiological controls, regulatory compliance, and approved techniques
- Resolve emergent issues and ensure inspection objectives are achieved safely and efficiently
- Schedule Routine NDE work in P6 and perform outage schedule-related functions
- Attend meetings representing Routine NDE and interface with Site, Fleet, Corporate, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, vendors, and technical stakeholders
- Issue contract requisitions, participate in vendor bid events, review invoices, and maintain pre-outage and outage budgets
- Prepare Site and Fleet management documents, including contingency plans, T-3 presentations, and two-year implementation plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology
- 6 years minimum required related work experience
- In lieu of degree, High School / GED and 8 years minimum required related work experience
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Subject to callouts, nights, weekends and/or support at fleet stations
- Normal work schedule is Monday-Thursday (4x10)
- Occasional travel (~45%); travel requirements 50+%
- Preferred: Current or previous NDE Level II certification in Radiography Testing (RT) and/or other NDE disciplines
- Preferred: Contract Management experience
- Preferred: Radiography Coordinator, Routine NDE Coordinator, or Outage Coordinator experience
- Preferred: Project Management skills
- Preferred: Knowledge of ASTM, ANSI, ASNT and ASME codes
- Preferred: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Preferred: QA program and related documents knowledge
- Preferred: NDE inspection methodologies
- Preferred: Radiation protection principles, radiological controls, and ALARA practices
- Preferred: Planning and organizational skills
- Preferred: Experience reading and interpreting procedures, drawings, specifications, and codes
- Preferred: NAS Work Control and CAP experience
- Preferred: Minimum of 4 years’ NDE experience in MT, PT, VT/ISI, RT, or UT
- Preferred: Work Management experience
