About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage or assist with management of all phases of project planning and execution
  • Ensure project success factors are met across scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration
  • Manage project funding and budgeting
  • Create, staff, lead, oversee, direct, delegate, and coordinate project teams
  • Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Project Controls, Estimating, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Legal, EHS, QA/QC, Operations, Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, Regulatory, Security, Fuels, and Transmission organizations
  • Manage matrixed team members and interface with functional leaders regarding placement, development, and conflict resolution
  • Establish and maintain communications among project stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and prepare, communicate, and report project status
  • Develop and communicate Project Plans and reporting in accordance with PMCoE standards and business-unit procedures
  • Plan projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, procurement, contracting, equipment and vendor selection, commissioning, integration, and warranty management
  • Execute projects within approved scope, cost, and schedule constraints
  • Manage project objectives, stakeholders, deliverables, WBS, schedules, budgets, risks, quality, safety, environmental, security, integration, data, communications, change management, and closeout
  • Coach, mentor, and lead PM Specialists, PM IIs, PM IIs, and Project Controls personnel
  • Create, develop, and deliver project and business-case presentations to senior management and project sponsors
  • Support development of natural gas combined-cycle and simple-cycle facilities, LNG storage evaluations, existing-facility modifications, and related projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 plus years related work experience
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) and 7 plus year(s) related work experience, High School/GED and 11 plus year(s) related work experience
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Expertise to Strong Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
  • Projects related work experience; Risk Management; Leadership; Employee Management/Development; Oversight
  • Expertise to Strong Expertise in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls, Quality, Risk
  • Utility Business Unit Experience and/or focus on new generation
  • Construction Management knowledge
  • Professional Engineer and/or Configuration Management II Professional (CM2-P) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • PMI (PMP) / CMII / AACE / Utility Technical Certifications
  • Contractors License
  • Professional Engineer License
