About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, update and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hybrid energy investments
  • Evaluate project economics, including cash flows, capital costs, operating costs, tax assumptions, revenue requirements, customer impacts, and other financial drivers
  • Review model outputs for accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency with approved assumptions
  • Complete sensitivities and scenario analyses to evaluate project cost competitiveness and key value drivers
  • Support internal transaction approvals by preparing financial analyses, summaries, business cases, and presentation materials for management review
  • Assist in evaluating project alternatives, including project acquisition, equipment procurement options, and capital deployment considerations
  • Perform business unit financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, long-range planning, and performance reporting
  • Track and explain changes in project financial performance, including cost movements and schedule impacts
  • Prepare financial materials for internal stakeholders, including executive summaries, approval memos, dashboards, and recurring financial reports
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Engineering
  • Three (3) or more years related work experience
  • Advanced Degree in Business, or Energy (desired)
  • Experience in renewable energy, regulated utilities, power generation, project finance, corporate finance, or infrastructure investment analysis (preferred)
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project economics, including capital cost estimates, production forecasts, operating expenses, tax incentives, interconnection costs, and transmission-related considerations (preferred)
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, or business unit financial planning and analysis (preferred)
  • Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
