About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall accountability for Supply Chain Operations in assigned areas
  • Manage supply chain personnel, equipment, contracts, contingent workforce, and third-party oversight
  • Manage materials, inventory, working stock, vendor-managed inventory, receipt, inspection, issuance, transportation, and delivery
  • Monitor Supply Chain Operations metrics supporting business unit operations, projects, and emergency response
  • Interview, hire, and manage union, non-union, craft, exempt, and contingent employees
  • Plan and maintain safe and efficient operational and financial performance across operations, grounds, fleet assets, inventory coordination, and regional workforce
  • Manage FERC, NERC/CIP, OSHA, SOX, DOT, environmental, financial, affiliate asset transfer, and corporate policy compliance
  • Support generation facility outages, major construction projects, storm response, and restoration of critical operations
  • Develop and maintain operational processes and relationships with Duke Energy business partners and suppliers
  • Ensure workforce training and adherence to safety, HR, cybersecurity, environmental, and operational procedures
  • Conduct safety observations and audits
  • Work with labor relations, HR, and unions on contractual obligations and disputes
  • Provide project management expertise for Supply Chain initiatives
  • Coordinate outage management, material availability, staging, delivery, and temporary site management
  • Implement Supply Chain optimization and working capital strategies
  • Review material usage, reorder notices, logistics, and stocking recommendations
  • Manage operational budgets, purchases, contracts, expenses, fleet equipment, labor, overtime, and supplemental resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years related work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years related work experience
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Availability for emergency and outage support on a 24/7 basis
  • Ability to work onsite at a company facility and live within a reasonable daily commute, not greater than 50 miles one way
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:30pm
  • Ability to work in an office and warehouse/plant environment with frequent travel between assigned operations facilities
  • 5-15% travel
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Preferred: Previous leadership/direct supervisory experience
  • Preferred: Strong working knowledge of material management techniques
