  • Working knowledge of the renewable industry landscape
  • Understanding of the drivers of project economics and levers to optimize project economics
  • Strong financial, technical, and risk management skills
  • Ability to balance competing factors and drive complex projects in a fast-moving market environment
  • Knowledge of utility interconnections
  • Knowledge of federal and state incentive programs
  • Knowledge of electricity market dynamics and pricing
  • Knowledge of policy engagement
  • Knowledge of land origination
  • Financial modeling and energy market analysis skills
  • Fluency in financial concepts including IRR, NPV, and time value of money
  • Proven negotiation experience with associated skills and results
  • Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving, project management, and implementation skills
  • Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Ability to travel 5–15%
