About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a personal caseload of property damage recovery claims
- Assist as part of a wider team on various large loss matters
- Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice
- Analyse risk and develop sound judgement to justify decisions to internal and external clients
- Prioritise work effectively and maximise efficiency in working practices
- Build internal and external working relationships to develop business networks and understand the Firm’s direction and client needs
- Support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience handling or assisting with an insurance property related caseload with a focus on property damage recoveries
- Technical expertise and a strong interest in commercial insurance matters generally
- Proven track record of delivering results within strict deadlines and timeframes
- Ability to communicate and manage often complex issues for both internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated individual who can effectively coach and develop others within the team
- Previous supervisory experience (desirable)
- Solicitor / Associate experience in subrogated property damage recovery claims
- Ability to work in line with service level agreements and best practice
