About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and newer environments
- Manage user access, network interface configuration, operating system settings, and server-related issues
- Administer Active Directory, including user and access management, GPOs, trust relationships, domain controller promotion/demotion, and new environment implementation
- Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu environments, including command-line operations and basic shell scripting
- Support and maintain AWS-hosted infrastructure
- Manage operating system patching using enterprise patch management tools
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation using platforms such as Rapid7
- Analyze scan results and coordinate corrective actions
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, action items, and deliverables
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and report on mid-level infrastructure initiatives
- Create and present POAMs and regular project status updates
- Coordinate meetings and work with infrastructure, security, application, and other technical teams
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and delays and escalate issues
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, projects, remediation, hardware, and software
- Develop Excel tracking tools and reports
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for assigned environments
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure for availability, security, compliance, and operations
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship
- Continuously learn technologies and understand the broader business and operational environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or newer
- Advanced experience with Active Directory administration and architecture
- Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu
- Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services
- Experience with enterprise patch management and vulnerability remediation
- Experience with Ivanti and Rapid7 or comparable platforms
- Experience planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting on mid-level technical infrastructure projects
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas/calculations, data comparison, and tracker development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to learn new technologies and understand complex technical environments
- Experience providing technical guidance, coaching, or mentorship
- Ability and willingness to perform hands-on technical infrastructure work
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus, not required
