About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop custom software solutions for customer projects, from technical design and implementation through to ongoing enhancement
Translate requirements into program code using existing and new frameworks
Derive technical implementation proposals from customers’ individual software architectures
Break implementation projects down into work packages for development teams
Coordinate implementations with customer architects
Document code comments, implementation proposals, and specifications in German and English
Collaborate with internal developers and customer architects to design sustainable software architectures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as a Java developer, including in agile project environments
Strong knowledge of Java, JUnit, Git, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or Oracle Database, and web technologies
Practical experience with architectures and frameworks such as JEE, Hibernate, JSF, PrimeFaces, React, Angular, and JavaFX
Initial or several years of professional experience in software architecture
Excellent organizational skills and a structured, independent approach to work
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Good communication skills
Fluent German and English
University degree in (business) computer science, several years of professional experience following completion of an IHK-certified IT specialist apprenticeship, or an equivalent qualification
Willingness to participate in internal and external training and professional development
Willingness to travel occasionally domestically and internationally
