About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the lead architect for PeopleSoft HCM solutions across Core HR, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Workforce Administration, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Talent Management, Recruiting, Learning Management, and Compensation Management
- Define and maintain enterprise HCM architecture standards and best practices
- Provide governance and oversight for PeopleSoft application design, integrations, security, and data management
- Assess existing PeopleSoft HCM environments to identify technical debt, customization complexity, integration challenges, and modernization opportunities
- Develop modernization roadmaps aligned with business objectives and transformation initiatives
- Define future-state architectures using cloud-native services, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities
- Evaluate PeopleSoft upgrades, re-platforming, Oracle Cloud HCM migration, hybrid application architectures, and SaaS transformation strategies
- Design cloud migration strategies for PeopleSoft workloads and lead OCI migration planning and execution
- Develop high-availability, disaster recovery, security, and scalability architectures
- Design enterprise integrations connecting HCM systems with ERP, identity management, benefits, payroll, financial, reporting, and analytics platforms
- Define API-first integration strategies using REST APIs, web services, OIC, and middleware platforms
- Develop HCM data modernization and governance frameworks
- Lead data conversion, cleansing, and migration activities
- Design reporting and analytics strategies using PeopleSoft Query, Oracle Analytics, Power BI, enterprise data warehouses, and cloud analytics platforms
- Partner with HR, payroll, finance, and business leadership teams on modernization objectives
- Present architectural recommendations and transformation roadmaps to executive leadership
- Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions
- Lead cross-functional teams of developers, administrators, business analysts, cloud engineers, and system integrators
- Establish modernization governance processes and architecture review boards
- Mentor technical staff and promote architecture best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience with PeopleSoft HCM
- 5+ years of architecture leadership experience
- 5+ years of enterprise modernization or cloud transformation experience
- Experience leading large-scale HCM transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting complex HR and payroll environments
- PeopleSoft HCM architecture and administration
- PeopleTools, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Process Scheduler, and Security Administration
- Upgrade and PUM implementation experience
- Legacy system assessments, application portfolio rationalization, technical debt analysis, digital transformation strategy, cloud migration planning, and business process transformation
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Cloud security architectures, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP Services, API Management, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and middleware platforms
- Oracle Database, SQL, data migration tools, data warehouse concepts, and reporting and analytics platforms
