About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and document tools, frameworks, central components, and data
Define platform-specific development policies, guidelines, and naming conventions
Set up basic structures when ordering new application environments
Create and further develop test cases for the annual release window
Support decommissioning and replacing applications
Support data archiving for applications
Handle support requests from SAP Basis and Identity Access Management teams regarding platforms
Enable BW developers regarding functionalities and technologies
Participate in communities and exchange and standardize guidelines, recommendations, and best practices
Update, structure, and ensure the quality of technical documentation and manuals in the BW area
Maintain concepts
Support analytics projects and best practices in SAP BW on HANA, SAP BW Classic, and SAP BW/4 system landscapes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior level with extensive experience in BW system landscapes
Several years of practical experience in software development and/or technology integration
Operational experience and understanding of architecture for large BW landscapes
Knowledge of BW, XSA, XSC, SQL, HANA, ABAP, Kyano Glue
Experience with BEx Tools, Eclipse/HanaStudio, WebIDE, Git, and BW/XSA authorizations
Experience with migration scenarios
Basic knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (TestSuite)
Experience working with the SAFe framework (Scaled Agile Framework)
Fluent in written and spoken German (C1)
High standards for the quality of one’s own work
Willingness to familiarize oneself with new topics and technologies, including organizational aspects
