About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install roofing materials on modular homes in a controlled manufacturing environment
- Use hand and power tools, including shingle knives, nail guns, and shears
- Install vents, roof jacks, roof edge flashing, and shingles according to specifications
- Identify required materials using purchase orders and production documentation
- Install protective domes on flat-top homes for storage and transportation
- Prepare flashing for loose shipment and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Perform work safely and comply with safety policies and PPE requirements
- Participate in cross-training opportunities
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work at heights up to 14 feet
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to take accurate measurements
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety harnesses and eye protection
- Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; evening work may be required
- Occasional limited out-of-area travel may occur
