About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write core platform code in C# and .NET using AI coding agents such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI
Find and fix performance bottlenecks across the product, including slow SQL queries, memory pressure, thread-pool starvation, and chatty services
Prove performance improvements with measurements
Investigate production incidents using metrics, logs, traces, and memory dumps in Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo
Drive production issues to root cause and implement lasting fixes
Build AI-powered engineering tools, agents, MCP servers, and automations
Evolve containers, Kubernetes, GitOps deployments, CI/CD, and test suites
Own technical decisions from design through rollout
Work with product teams, architects, and support on complex technical problems

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with a track record of owning systems in production
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, or other CLI-based AI coding agents as part of your daily workflow
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, including asynchronous code, memory behavior, and performance optimization
Proven experience profiling and optimizing applications or databases
Solid Microsoft SQL Server skills; ability to read execution plans is a plus
PostgreSQL experience is a plus
Hands-on Docker experience
Kubernetes experience is a strong plus
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
TeamCity and Octopus Deploy experience is a plus but not required
Clear written and spoken English
Ability to explain complex issues simply
Willingness to mentor others on the team
