About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write executive-level briefing papers explaining program data, requirements, issues, and recommendations
- Support research and documentation of Branch-level policy drafts and updates, technical and programmatic status papers, classification evaluations, MOUs, tasker responses, RFIs, and other analytical products
- Coordinate with internal and external divisions to collect task responses and provide Branch-approved submissions for information requests
- Brief management on program and project status, issues, and options
- Analyze and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to identify issues and formulate recommendations
- Extract source data from multiple databases
- Manipulate data in spreadsheets and pivot tables and create Power BI reports with graphics and tables for briefing products
- Research prior and current practices, guidance, policies, and regulations to inform analysis of options
- Update and maintain the Branch tasking system with tasker requests and final approved submissions
- Attend meetings and draft meeting notes summarizing topics, outcomes, and follow-up items
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s, MBA, or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in economics, Data Analytics, or other relevant analytical, scientific, or data-based Bachelors of science degree
- Top Secret clearance required with SCI/CI Poly eligibility
- Minimum 5 years expert experience in federal government (intelligence, defense, law enforcement community) leading and/or coordinating multiple, complex projects with frequent aggressive and/or competing deadlines
- Minimum 3 years experience researching, analyzing, and coordinating content for policy drafts and updates, technical and programmatic status papers, classification evaluations, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and other analytical products for executive-level and external agency audiences
- Minimum 3 years experience writing and producing data/resource-focused summary papers, reports, and briefs containing written analyses, justifications, and graphics describing data related to operational outcomes
- Minimum 3 years experience applying operational objectives/outcomes to fiscal goals
- Minimum 3 years experience using MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, Power BI reports, PowerPoint presentations and demonstrative graphics, Word documents, and SharePoint lists and workflow tools
- Minimum 3 years experience successfully working at an Executive Staff-level
- Minimum 1 year experience writing reports and presenting briefing materials
- Writing sample required
- Preferred: 5 years experience using MS Excel as an analytical tool
- Preferred: 5 years experience with federal planning, programming, and evaluation/execution processes and principles
- Preferred: 5 years experience writing resource justifications for Congressional, OMB, DOJ, and ODNI audiences
