Drive rapid development in an AI-assisted environment as a senior individual contributor.
Set technical direction and mentor teammates.
Apply strict human oversight to validate, secure, and maintain complex enterprise code produced with AI coding assistants such as Claude and Amazon Q Developer.
Write, review, and refactor Java (Spring Boot) back-end and Angular 21 front-end code.
Use AI tools to generate boilerplate, write unit tests, and perform application modernization tasks.
Ensure AI-generated outputs adhere to security, AWS cloud architecture, and PostgreSQL database standards.
Manually review, debug, and optimize code to prevent integration issues and low-quality abstractions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience operating at a senior or technical-lead level.
Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot, Angular (version 17 or higher), PostgreSQL, and AWS environments.
4+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot
4+ years of experience in Angular
3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL
Demonstrated experience working in AI-assisted development workflows.
Excellent debugging and architectural design skills to steer AI agents effectively.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker (desirable but not mandatory)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment (desirable but not mandatory)
Experience working in Agile development environments (desirable but not mandatory)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (desirable but not mandatory)
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams (desirable but not mandatory)
