About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and deploy a cloud-based, modular, role-aware platform for customers
  • Work independently across frontend and backend development
  • Take ownership of features end to end
  • Contribute to technical design decisions
  • Build responsive React applications with role-based UI rendering, dynamic forms, and notification interfaces
  • Design and build containerized services on AWS Fargate
  • Develop RESTful APIs
  • Model and query relational data in Aurora PostgreSQL
  • Use DynamoDB for audit and event data
  • Implement API design and routing using internal ALB routing and AppConfig-driven configuration
  • Integrate event-driven services using EventBridge and SQS
  • Secure data using S3 with KMS encryption, Directory Service, and IAM-based role-based access control
  • Work within CloudFormation and/or CDK infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Operate within an established CI/CD pipeline
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Apply NIST 800-53-aligned secure development controls, centralized logging, and CloudWatch observability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with capability to obtain SCI/CI Poly if needed to meet contract requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification
  • Minimum 8+ years of full stack experience
  • Experience building responsive, component-driven applications in React, including role-based UI rendering, dynamic forms, and notification interfaces
  • Experience designing and building containerized services on AWS Fargate and developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience modeling and querying relational data in Aurora PostgreSQL, with working knowledge of DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of API design and routing patterns using internal ALB routing and AppConfig-driven configuration
  • Experience with event-driven integration using EventBridge and SQS
  • Experience with secure data handling using S3 with KMS encryption, Directory Service, and IAM-based role-based access control
  • Experience delivering on AWS in AWS GovCloud
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and/or CDK
  • Experience operating within an established CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
  • Secure development practices consistent with NIST 800-53-aligned controls
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
