About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the principal authority for full-stack architecture, application modernization, secure development practices, and enterprise technology integration
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications across frontend and backend technologies
  • Provide strategic technical leadership with hands-on development
  • Ensure applications are secure, high-performing, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards, zero-trust principles, and complex cross-enclave requirements
  • Establish development standards across teams
  • Perform minor open-source upstream development
  • Support in-house custom-developed application UI and backend/middleware
  • Integrate reasoning components, retrieval systems, databases, and AI/GenAI services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend technologies, APIs, and relational/non-relational databases
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, system integration, and scalable application design
  • Experience with secure development practices, DevSecOps methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Expertise in database design, performance optimization, and application troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and establish development standards across teams
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Django (Python), MySQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and RabbitMQ
  • Experience integrating reasoning components, retrieval systems, databases, and AI/GenAI services
  • Experience with React, NodeJS, Python, and Redis
  • Desired: experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments
  • Desired: knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and microservices platforms
  • Desired: experience addressing cross-domain or cross-enclave interoperability challenges
