About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, evolve, and own the Tribe’s technology strategy in alignment with enterprise IT strategy and architecture principles
- Ensure product-team solutions comply with architectural standards, security policies, and non-functional requirements
- Oversee system architecture and technical design across products, platforms, and integrations
- Govern engineering standards, development practices, and technical quality across product teams
- Monitor engineering productivity, delivery health, and system stability
- Coordinate technology dependencies across product teams, other Tribes, and platform or shared-service teams
- Shape organizational design and team structures to improve Tribe effectiveness
- Partner with the Tribe Lead to translate business strategy and product vision into scalable technology solutions
- Develop people and capabilities and allocate engineering talent
- Promote engineering culture based on ownership, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement
- Take accountability for operational health, system stability, and sustainability
- Share best practices to increase engineering maturity across the organization
- Co-own the Tribe technology backlog and contribute to prioritization and planning
- Own and optimize the Tribe IT budget with controlling
- Ensure compliance with architecture and governance processes, including decision and approval boards
- Lead the technology landscape for the Customer Care & Service Tribe, covering customer activation, service delivery, customer care, billing, payments, and issue resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep expertise in modern software engineering, system architecture, and technology platforms
- Experience defining and evolving technology vision in alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals
- Ability to guide technical decisions and ensure scalability and security
- Knowledge of engineering standards, development practices, and DevOps practices
- Understanding of complex technology landscapes and interdependencies across systems, platforms, and teams
- Ability to align Tribe-level solutions with broader enterprise architecture
- Knowledge of reliability, performance, resilience, data protection, security requirements, and regulatory constraints
- Experience translating business goals and product vision into viable, scalable technology solutions
- Experience supporting engineering talent growth, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
