About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets
  • Ensure project budget responses reflect accurate and current project cost information and stakeholder concurrence
  • Maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing funding requests for project authorization
  • Assist Project Managers in obtaining project funding changes through the Unifier change control system
  • Assist with project closeout alongside other departments
  • Work with Project Management to determine required closeout deliverables and expected dates
  • Communicate project cost risks to key stakeholders
  • Analyze and trend cost variances by comparing the current cost plan against actual costs to date
  • Analyze and validate unauthorized project costs and report findings to Project Managers and Supervision
  • Develop and analyze cost plans
  • Forecast costs to complete projects and maintain accurate reports
  • Manage project funding orders and ensure required documentation is entered or corrected in tracking systems
  • Use cost and schedule plans to assess whether project objectives are achievable
  • Verify project cost and schedule milestones and identify future process or business improvements
  • Work with responsible parties to implement process or business improvements
  • Assess and report project performance using established industry standards
  • Input data into various programs and prepare cost and forecasting reports
  • Maintain written and electronic project documentation and records
  • Maintain project files according to established guidelines and requirements
  • Provide special reports for supervisors or managers upon request

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant degree in Construction Management, Project Management, etc.
  • 3-5 years as a Cost Analyst or relevant Project Controls experience
  • Local candidates only
  • Cost experience associated with construction operations experience preferred
