About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine clinical and administrative duties supporting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and licensed clinical staff
  • Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intradermal injections under provider supervision and document them in the patient's chart
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Perform patient hemoglobin checks via fingerstick after training and certification
  • Weigh patients and record results in the EMR
  • Support patients throughout clinical visits
  • Maintain accurate patient information and communicate high-risk situations to the nurse manager
  • Perform all essential functions on-site in a patient-facing environment while handling health data securely in compliance with HIPAA

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a two-year associate degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in obtaining vital signs
  • Ability to record patient information accurately and keep the nurse manager aware of high-risk situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and EMR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork

  • Must perform essential functions on-site
