About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and licensed clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Perform basic lab testing, including patient HGB fingersticks after training and certification
  • Administer subcutaneous, intermuscular, or intra-dermal injections under direct physician supervision and according to protocol
  • Obtain patient weight and record it in the EMR
  • Record patient information accurately and keep the nurse manager aware of high-risk situations
  • Provide patient support throughout the clinical visit
  • Perform all essential functions on-site
  • Work Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm with a one-hour lunch

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a two-year associate degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in obtaining vital signs
  • Accurate patient information recording
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and EMR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Ability to demonstrate and uphold ENA’s core values: Compassion, Excellence, Inclusion, Collaboration, and Innovation
  • Preferred: Experience using Acumen and EPIC
