About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Develop and implement nursing care plans
- Perform Chronic Care Management activities and assist with patient intake
- Obtain and record patient vital signs
- Review and document allergies, medications, and over-the-counter drugs in the EMR
- Document patient interactions, care interventions, and communications with external providers
- Maintain medical records, including triage, referrals, and prescription refill requests
- Assist with patient inquiries, hospital calls, lab and test results, and prescription refills
- Collaborate with medical providers to execute individualized care plans
- Work on-site to support real-time collaboration, direct patient interaction, and secure health-data handling
- No supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN, ASN, BSN)
- Active RN license in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing
- 2 years experience or a combination of education and experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to participate in patient assessment and use critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Understanding of medical practices and confidentiality standards
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, EMR, and Practice Management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

- Ability to perform required physical duties, including standing, repetitive motion, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
