About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD across shared multi-tenant and dedicated single-tenant environments
  • Own GitOps pipelines and guardrails, including progressive rollout, blast-radius containment, and drift detection
  • Manage infrastructure efficiency, cost attribution, right-sizing, spot strategy, and autoscaling
  • Automate onboarding, version rollouts, and configuration changes into self-service workflows
  • Operate and scale Temporal, KEDA queue-based autoscaling, and Karpenter against real traffic, cost, and latency targets
  • Engineer security for regulated customers through KMS key management, SIEM pipelines, WAF policies, certificate and secret lifecycle, per-customer SSO, vulnerability remediation, and penetration-test fixes
  • Extend AI-driven infrastructure operations for triage, rollout verification, cost anomaly investigation, log analysis, and other operational work
  • Own reliability of shipped systems and participate in PagerDuty on-call rotations
  • Support more than fifty production environments across six AWS regions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years in DevOps, including production ownership of Kubernetes at meaningful scale; EKS preferred
  • Experience operating fleets of similar-but-not-identical environments with Terraform
  • Experience designing reusable Terraform modules and recovering Terraform state
  • Production experience operating ArgoCD or an equivalent GitOps controller with automated sync, pruning, and self-healing
  • Deep AWS experience at the account, network, and IAM levels
  • Production Cloudflare experience, including WAF policy, origin protection, DNS, and rate limiting
  • Experience measuring, attributing, and reducing cloud costs through right-sizing, spot, autoscaling, storage lifecycle, or architecture
  • Strong Python and Bash engineering skills
  • Experience serving regulated enterprise customers in financial services, insurance, or healthcare
  • Experience with penetration tests, security questionnaires, encryption requirements, and customer-imposed controls
  • Genuine AI fluency; experience using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent and automating operational work with them
  • Experience owning CI/CD pipelines in more than one of Jenkins, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions
  • Production experience operating and tuning Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Proactive ownership and ability to work independently
  • Strongly preferred: production Temporal.io experience, KEDA, Karpenter, SOPS, KMS, key rotation, customer-held key models, multi-region operations, data residency, internal developer platforms, CI/CD migrations, Cilium or Calico, service mesh, Kubernetes tenant isolation, and experience in both startup and enterprise environments
