About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide entry-level nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Perform and document complete patient assessments
  • Initiate and maintain current nursing care plans for assigned patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact, or RN applicant (required)
  • BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; must obtain from an approved source prior to direct patient care
  • Possesses clinical knowledge, skills, and competency to provide evidence-based patient care in accordance with current standards of practice, policy and procedure, and BSMH mission
  • Performs comprehensive assessments of patients' clinical conditions and psychosocial needs
  • Safely and efficiently develops, implements, and prioritizes plans of care
  • Applies the nursing process in patient care delivery
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Understanding and utilization of office and clinical technologies
  • Ability to perform shift work
  • Ability to maneuver patient weight and meet the listed physical requirements and hazard exposures
