About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Elliott Co. and approved suppliers of fabricated and machined components
  • Clarify Elliott drawings, specifications, and requirements to improve component manufacturability
  • Communicate with suppliers through on-site meetings, phone, and email
  • Coordinate with Elliott Engineering, Drafting, and Manufacturing to resolve drawing and process discrepancies
  • Direct suppliers in efficient manufacturing methods to assure product quality
  • Conduct pre-manufacturing meetings with suppliers
  • Resolve supplier questions regarding Elliott drawings and processes
  • Support suppliers with deviations and non-conformances
  • Analyze supplier defects and assist in establishing preventive action
  • Develop technical guidelines and checklists for manufacturing Elliott components
  • Create procedures for supplier management
  • Conduct supplier audits for qualification

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten years of technical work experience in machining or fabrication
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of machining and fabrication methods
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to learn Oracle/Windchill
  • Ability to interpret drawings
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
