About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings using Autodesk products and other design software, including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, PLS-CAD, and Trimble
- Use survey data to produce and maintain grading plans, erosion protection plans, permitting documents, site plans, site-specific details, plan and profiles, cross-sections, and typical sections
- Prepare construction permits for infrastructure placement, including encroachment, right-of-way, easement, and traffic control permits
- Prepare documents, perform data entry, and complete associated forms
- Meet weekly with the management team regarding project status
- Manage multiple projects and meet project requirements
- Communicate with internal and external customers to help resolve fielding document issues
- Comply with OSHA, NEC, PPE, and other safety requirements and policies
- Prepare high-level designs in CAD format when required
- Identify process waste and suggest improvements
- Ensure engineering and design activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall schedule
- Participate in the company's safety-oriented culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work as part of a team remotely or in an office
- Self-starter
- High attention to detail
- Professional communication skills through email, phone, video, or text
- Time management and ability to prioritize work and document tasks
- Ability to report project anomalies through established tools or verbally
- Ability to wear and utilize all required safety PPE with situational awareness
- Ability to work safely, including safe driving, stretching twice daily, good posture/ergonomics, and following all safety rules
- Organized workstation and computer filing system
- Punctuality for daily start time and meetings
- Ability to complete timekeeping/accounting documentation daily or weekly
- Ability to work after normal hours as needed
- Current state driver's license without restrictions
- 3+ years of professional experience in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- 3+ years of professional experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
