About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for the entire finance organization, including Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, and Finance Operations
Active management and support of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), as well as integration and transformation projects
Leading and providing operational support for a carve-out from a parent company, including the establishment of standalone finance processes
Establishing, developing, and professionalizing accounting and controlling structures
Ensuring proper financial reporting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Responsibility for the preparation and coordination of consolidated financial statements
Implementing, optimizing, and migrating financial and ERP systems, as well as digitizing finance processes
Preparing financial analyses, forecasts, budgets, and business cases to support strategic decision-making
Serving as a trusted financial advisor to the executive management team, investors, and other stakeholders on all finance-related matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in senior finance leadership roles, including at least three years as a CFO
Extensive, in-depth professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Corporate Finance
Proven experience in establishing or transforming finance organizations and processes
Knowledge of DATEV and/or SAP
Practical experience with M&A transactions, as well as carve-out or post-merger integration projects
Strong knowledge of financial reporting under German GAAP (HGB), including experience with consolidated financial statements
Experience implementing or migrating financial and ERP systems
Excellent analytical skills, a strong hands-on mentality, and an entrepreneurial mindset
Fluent German and good English skills
Experience in the logistics industry is a plus
