About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and execute the biometrics business development strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across biotech and pharma
- Drive complex deal pursuits, including end-to-end and functional service provider models
- Build and manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce for accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders in data management, clinical, biometrics, and procurement
- Develop strategic account relationships to support expansion and retention with the Account Management team
- Lead executive-level presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with biometrics, delivery, and product leadership to align offerings with market needs
- Translate client challenges into differentiated biometrics solutions
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategy
- Partner with operations, finance, and legal teams on commercially viable and operationally sound deals
- Provide input into pricing strategy, deal structures, and service innovation
- Act as a senior ambassador for the biometrics business internally and externally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred
- 5+ years of combined experience in data management, life sciences, technology, or business development within pharma/biotech, CROs, or life sciences services preferred
- Demonstrated success selling biometrics services, including biostatistics, statistical programming, data management, and analytics
- Proven ability to close large, complex, multi-year contracts
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Existing network within biotech and pharmaceutical biometrics organizations preferred
- Experience with FSP, hybrid, or strategic partnership models preferred
- Strong understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle and regulatory environment preferred
- Strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen
- Executive-level presence and relationship-building skills
- Results-driven consultative/value sales approach
- Ability to operate collaboratively in a matrixed environment
