About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with business unit leaders to identify opportunities to leverage analytics
Build advanced analytical capabilities to improve business decisions and actions within Group Technology
Harvest data to create information that differentiates services and products
Provide proactive, real-time analytics to enhance customer experience and decision-making
Oversee and assist with the team workload management portal and delivery-status transparency
Use SQL, data mining, data manipulation, and statistical analysis with Python/R to solve business problems and identify analytic strategies
Translate operational business needs into actionable intermediate or complex analysis
Implement analytical initiatives delivering process, product, people, and/or technology improvements
Build and optimize Power BI dashboards and self-service reports using advanced analytics and statistical techniques
Present recommendations and business implications to management and business partners
Prepare monthly business-performance reviews with Lead Finance Officers teams
Develop ad-hoc analytics for senior management requests and proactively researched issues
Coordinate monthly reports and annual planning with business teams, ensuring data integrity and process adherence
Partner with analysts to design data models and star schemas, uphold data-quality and testing standards, and drive analytical efficiencies
Provide test scenarios and collaborate with testing teams on system integration test scripts and results

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 7 years demonstrated experience leveraging analytics and data analysis to deliver tangible business improvements
At least 5 years of experience in financial services
Proficient SQL and database management skills, including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
Working knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines
Foundational understanding of Azure and Spark, including data-governance and security controls
Proficient data modelling and star schema design
Proficient Power BI and Tableau data visualization skills
Basic Python/R programming and scripting ability
Proficient data quality, profiling, and testing skills
Proficient statistical modelling and analysis skills
Proficient innovation and solution design skills
Foundational awareness of predictive modelling and AI concepts
Proficient communication and data storytelling skills
Proficient decision-making and accountability
Proficient stakeholder management and influence
Proficient analytical thinking and problem-solving
