About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage, analyse, and maintain accurate financial records and transactions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, employee expenses, travel, and payroll-related accounting
Process incoming and outgoing invoices, monitor payments and receivables, and ensure transactions are correctly recorded and documented
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for bank, credit card, payroll, intercompany, and other accounts
Investigate discrepancies and resolve open items accurately and on time
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting
Support statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT and tax filings, statutory financial statements, and reports to authorities
Coordinate with external accounting, payroll, and tax advisors
Ensure compliance with local GAAP, internal policies, and US GAAP reporting requirements
Perform and document assigned internal controls, including SOX controls, and support process improvements
Support annual financial statement preparation and collaborate with external and internal auditors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial graduation (HAK/Bachelor/Master’s degree)
At least 2–5 years of experience in accounting
Accountant certificate advantageous
Sense for numbers and analytical thinking
Ability to work in a team and under tight deadlines
Knowledge of BMD and/or Workday is an advantage
Minimum C1 level in German and English
Standard background checks as part of the hiring process
