About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide practical hands-on instruction through the Canvas LMS
Create an engaging learning environment using innovative teaching methodologies
Enhance students’ learning experience and achieve learning outcomes
Share industry experience with adult learners in five-week terms
Serve as the first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
Teach one live session each week via Zoom
Hold one live office hour per week via Zoom

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in English or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution
3-5 years industry experience required
Industry experience must be within the last 5 years
Candidates must be available evenings and weekends
2 years online teaching/curriculum experience a plus
Strong online webinar presentation skills a plus
Canvas LMS experience preferred
Strong active-learning skills for effective instruction
Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment
The highest levels of integrity at all times
Able to work in a 5 week course accelerated environment
Approachable and builds rapport quickly
Attentive listener, and able to see multiple perspectives
Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
Reliable high-speed internet required
Responsible for supplying your own windows-based computer and webcam
Computer system must pass the ECPI University minimum requirements test
Required to teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom
