About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and develop a strategic vendor ecosystem in cybersecurity
- Evaluate and select security service providers and technology partners
- Conduct third-party risk assessments and security evaluations
- Manage and monitor security requirements for suppliers
- Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and vendor scorecards
- Support contract negotiations with a focus on security and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT Security, Procurement, Legal, and Compliance
- Conduct supplier audits and support regulatory examinations
- Identify and implement improvement measures to enhance partners’ security maturity
- Monitor current cybersecurity trends and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001)
- Plan and carry out required sales activities in coordination with manufacturers
- Assume responsibility for sales success and growth of the company’s portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in vendor management, third-party risk management, or cybersecurity
- Sound knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
- Demonstrable success in selling security technologies in SOC and OT environments
- Experience dealing with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, DORA)
- Strong technical understanding of cybersecurity technologies (e.g., IAM, SIEM, cloud security, endpoint security)
- Experience negotiating contracts and SLAs with IT or security service providers
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively
- Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong teamwork and confident stakeholder management
- Active network of resellers
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, critical infrastructure, telecommunications)
- Experience with international supplier structures
