About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, revise, and support the negotiation of NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and other commercial contracts
- Review financial and commercial terms in client and vendor agreements, identify potential issues, and work with stakeholders to resolve them
- Review all terms and conditions of NDAs and SOWs according to company standards and guidelines
- Identify contractual terms requiring additional review or escalation and coordinate with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders
- Support review of Master Services Agreements and other contract types
- Partner with internal teams to understand business objectives and facilitate the contracting process
- Maintain accurate records and help ensure contracts move efficiently through review and approval
- Develop a strong understanding of Edelman’s contracting standards, policies, and risk considerations
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization as an active contributor on the contracts team
- Broaden contract-review experience and take on increasingly complex commercial contracting work
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–3 years of experience drafting, reviewing, or administering commercial contracts including NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and/or similar business agreements
- Experience with Master Services Agreements and additional commercial contract types is preferred but not required
- Experience in the public relations, marketing, advertising, or related professional services industries is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- J.D. is a plus but is not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple agreements and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and service-oriented approach to working with internal stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop contract-review and negotiation skills
- Must be based in any Edelman office
- Must be available to work Pacific Time business hours, regardless of office location
