About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive growth and long-term retention of Asset Optimization service agreements
- Oversee existing Asset Optimization agreements to ensure customer satisfaction, operational continuity, and contract performance
- Lead cross-functional execution and management of internal project requirements related to Asset Optimization agreements
- Expand existing accounts and source new commercial opportunities in renewable energy
- Establish and nurture relationships with project developers, asset owners, financiers, and investors
- Build business cases and commercial proposals balancing short-term revenue with long-term strategic and financial goals
- Promote brand visibility and thought leadership through speaking engagements, webinars, industry articles, and trade shows
- Lead commercial responses for RFPs, bilateral opportunities, and internal development submissions
- Lead contract negotiations and guide deals through internal governance and approval processes
- Own key client relationships and map customer organizations, incentives, and decision-making structures
- Identify customer and project challenges and escalate critical issues appropriately
- Gather and synthesize market insights and competitive intelligence
- Maintain reporting on pipeline activity and key account health
- Manage external resource budgets supporting O&M Business Development initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required
- Master’s/advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years of business development experience specifically in the renewable energy sector (wind, solar) or O&M Services
- 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience with a proven track record of managing long sales cycles, prospecting, and closing contracts
- Professional fluency in English required
- Proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience crafting and delivering compelling presentations to diverse internal and external audiences
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Hands-on experience drafting preliminary contract terms and overseeing detailed RFP/RFQ submissions
- Ability to build trust and drive engagement across project lifecycle phases
- CRM platform proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to travel 25%
