About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create financial and operational dashboards, data visualization tools, and automation tools supporting Asset Optimization functions
  • Work with interdepartmental teams to provide long-term financial forecasts for renewable energy projects
  • Create ad-hoc analyses supporting strategic initiatives and business decisions
  • Project-manage tasks from intake to delivery
  • Work with internal users to gather requirements
  • Clean and process data and develop analytical tools
  • Engage in user feedback to identify future improvements
  • Build financial and business models and conduct in-depth analyses
  • Present findings to senior management
  • Maintain and develop features for intercompany digital business intelligence solutions
  • Collaborate with Development, Technical Services, and Asset Optimization teams to ensure accurate financial and operational models for OpEx pricing and internal project bidding
  • Improve models, analyses, and processes
  • Manage project intake and milestone reporting with internal customers/users
  • Report actuals-to-budget performance and identify business practice concerns and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain pricing and analytic databases and monitor, track, and update departmental KPIs
  • Develop and improve databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and related strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Science, Engineering, Accounting, or a related quantitative field required
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working with complex data structures
  • Hands-on experience with Python/SQL for ETL processes
  • Experience creating data visualizations in Tableau or PowerBI
  • Minimum 3+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Proven track record developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex financial models
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience managing cross-functional projects and delivering complex, multi-departmental deliverables
  • High proficiency in Excel, including advanced spreadsheet creation and financial modeling
  • Solid programming and data architecture skills using SQL, Python, VBA, and BI tools such as PowerBI/Tableau
  • Basic AI fluency and prompting skills
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in financial statement preparation, profitability reporting, and project performance modeling
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams, lead projects independently, and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized self-starter able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and clean tech
  • Ability to travel upon request
