About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead EPC execution activities for utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and energy storage projects
  • Implement EPC contracts and project execution plans
  • Manage and collaborate with site teams and internal and external subject-matter experts
  • Control project safety, quality, budget, and schedule
  • Lead or participate in plan-of-day, monthly, and engineering meetings
  • Implement transport and logistics plans for owner-provided equipment
  • Prepare and implement testing and commissioning plans
  • Perform project close-out activities, including claims settlement, lessons learned, and cost and schedule analysis
  • Negotiate technical and commercial contract exhibits
  • Coordinate internal exhibit reviews with subject-matter experts
  • Contribute to EPC contract negotiations
  • Support RFP bid evaluation and contractor selection for EPC services procurement
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process improvements, and tool development
  • Evaluate the feasibility and impact of LCOE reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate and incorporate lessons learned
  • Supervise 1–2 direct and 5–7 indirect reports
  • Spend approximately 80% of time in the office and 20% in the field nationally and internationally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Comprehensive and diversified knowledge of the construction industry and renewables EPC market
  • Knowledge of renewables industry best management practices, codes, standards, and engineering principles
  • Extensive experience working and negotiating with EPC contractors on contracts exceeding $100M
  • Experience executing projects according to project management principles
  • Experience working in a cross-functional organizational structure
  • Experience leading a project execution team
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional team members
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and shifting business priorities
  • Knowledge of renewable power plant design, including electrical and civil disciplines
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project offtake and financing structures
  • Knowledge of national and regional regulatory environments
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, and visit job sites
