About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define how non-engineers work with AI agents across complex, high-stakes insurance workflows
- Shape systems, guardrails, and interaction patterns that make AI clear, controllable, and trustworthy
- Move from early product thinking through shipped details with customers, insurance experts, founders, and engineers
- Learn directly from customers and insurance experts to turn dense enterprise workflows and complex systems into coherent product experiences
- Design agent experiences that clarify plans, progress, evidence, uncertainty, approvals, and recovery, enabling users to steer or intervene
- Prototype and ship quickly with engineering using Figma and modern AI building tools
- Create reusable interaction patterns and lightweight design-system foundations, including independently usable components for engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of relevant product design experience
- Portfolio showing excellent interaction and visual craft, clear personal contribution, and experience turning complex systems or multi-step workflows into simple experiences
- Hands-on experience designing or building with AI agents
- Comfortable using modern AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining a high craft standard
- First-principles reasoning and ability to distinguish behavior or systems problems from styling problems
- Close collaboration with engineering and product, clear explanation of design decisions, and ability to create reusable patterns
- Experience designing for enterprise or business users, especially in regulated, analytical, or document-heavy domains, is helpful but not required
- Comfort with HTML/CSS and contributing to a shared component system such as Storybook is helpful but not required
