About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design of complex digital products and services from discovery through delivery.
- Own complete user experiences across customer journeys, touchpoints, and platforms.
- Translate business goals, user needs, and technical requirements into design solutions.
- Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, and Business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and collaborative working sessions.
- Influence product strategy by advocating for user needs and design best practices.
- Define, maintain, and evolve the firm's design system.
- Establish and enforce design standards, patterns, accessibility requirements, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent implementation of design components.
- Drive design-system adoption across products and teams.
- Improve design efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
- Use user research, analytics, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Validate concepts through prototyping, testing, and iterative feedback.
- Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and responsive design.
- Improve experiences based on user insights and data.
- Raise overall design quality across the organisation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level designers.
- Contribute to design culture, processes, and best practices.
- Stay informed about emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or Experience Design.
- Proven track record of designing complex digital products and end-to-end user experiences.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, visual design expertise, and measurable business impact.
- Experience building, managing, and governing design systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of user-centred design processes and methodologies.
- Expertise in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience working in enterprise, SaaS, or large-scale digital environments.
- Preferred: understanding of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices.
- Preferred: familiarity with front-end development principles and design-to-development workflows.
- Preferred: experience facilitating design workshops and strategic planning sessions.
- Preferred: experience leading or mentoring designers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and design principles.
- Diligence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to deconstruct content and create a narrative.
