About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
  • Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
  • Educate customers on pest prevention methods and reducing future infestation risks
  • Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
  • Support sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
  • Maintain, stock, and ensure the proper working condition of pest control equipment
  • Follow local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
  • Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
  • Perform pest management services for residential customers
  • Identify and eliminate pests through inspections, treatments, and preventative measures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills, including following instructions for mixing products on labels
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
  • Able to work in tight, confined spaces
  • Able to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Able to work inside and outside in the local climate
  • Able to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
