About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
  • Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards
  • Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
  • Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand products to new customers
  • Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
  • Follow local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
  • Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
  • Work in residential properties, including confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, and passageways
  • Perform physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills, including following instructions for mixing products from labels
  • Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
