About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategic direction and measured growth of the Multi-Party Project Coordination & Liability Management practice
- Develop and execute annual growth priorities, market initiatives, and account strategies
- Identify emerging client needs, regulatory developments, and market opportunities
- Collaborate across remediation, engineering, compliance, risk, and technical disciplines to provide integrated solutions
- Establish expectations for service quality, project delivery, knowledge sharing, and accountability
- Identify, pursue, and secure new work using established industry relationships
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, PRP groups, legal counsel, regulators, developers, and strategic partners
- Lead capture planning, proposals, interviews, teaming strategies, and client presentations
- Provide expert-level guidance for complex Superfund, CERCLA, RCRA, and environmental liability management engagements
- Advise project teams on strategy, governance, stakeholder alignment, budget, schedule, risk, and regulatory interface
- Participate in key meetings and negotiations
- Review strategic plans, proposals, scopes, budgets, schedules, reports, and other high-impact deliverables
- Resolve complex technical, commercial, contractual, and stakeholder issues
- Mentor Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and emerging leaders
- Build a sustainable leadership pipeline and promote scalable tools and consistent project coordination practices
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive culture in a remote-first work environment
- Maintain an active presence in professional associations and industry networks
- Contribute presentations, articles, panels, workshops, and other thought leadership
- Monitor industry trends and translate them into service offerings, pursuit strategies, and staff development priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 20+ years of progressively responsible environmental consulting, legal, corporate environmental, engineering, or related experience
- Demonstrated leadership of complex environmental remediation, Superfund, CERCLA, RCRA, or environmental liability programs
- Direct experience with multi-party sites, stakeholder-driven programs, PRP groups, or comparable governance structures
- Established professional relationships and credibility within the environmental remediation and liability management market
- Demonstrated success developing business, expanding client relationships, and converting opportunities into contracted work
- Experience working directly with corporate clients, legal counsel, regulators, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams without relying solely on formal authority
- Strategic judgment and commercial awareness
- Ability to translate client challenges into actionable solutions
- Commitment to mentoring others and building sustainable organizational capability
- Ability to travel as needed
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, hydrogeology, environmental policy, business, law, or a related discipline required
