About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to project technical direction
- Plan and oversee engineering activities aligned with business goals
- Promote software quality standards, coding best practices, and consistent development methodologies
- Ensure best practices for code quality, performance, testing, and maintainability
- Review and improve engineering processes to increase efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support junior developers’ growth through guidance and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to recruitment, technical interviews, and candidate evaluation
- Evaluate technology trends, tools, libraries, and approaches
- Report to the CTO
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in software development and in leading or coordinating software engineering teams
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software products
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and software testing practices
- Experience with C++ development and complex, performance-sensitive software environments
- Understanding of code quality standards, continuous integration, automated testing, and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and third-party UI libraries
- Familiarity with web development and modern web technologies
- Ability to ensure software scalability, maintainability, and quality
- Experience with backend technologies, databases, development frameworks, DevOps practices, and cloud environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and continuous improvement approach
- Fluent in English
