About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage project activities throughout the Agile software delivery lifecycle
  • Fulfill project objectives in close cooperation with the Program Director
  • Lead technical program implementation
  • Perform risk, issue, and dependency management
  • Manage escalations and executive reporting
  • Ensure delivery proficiency of the EIS program, including System Integration partners
  • Plan and manage resources based on program financial commitments
  • Coordinate program dependencies with other EIS departments
  • Maintain end-to-end delivery control and communication among Program teams, SaaS representatives, and EIS Product Owners
  • Orchestrate solution architecture alignment, infrastructure coordination, and software implementation
  • Monitor and control project deliverable commitments; report and escalate variances to the Program Director
  • Assess implementation risks and coordinate mitigation with Program Management
  • Contribute to the program plan for all delivery phases within customer commitments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years Professional Services or Insurance Industry project management
  • Insurance industry experience as an analyst/technology employee of an insurance company or as a consultant providing services to insurance companies
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Practical experience in Agile methodology, preferably Scrum
  • Project Management experience
  • Advanced user of Jira or other task tracking tools
  • Fluent in Japanese and business English
  • Ability to work with partners and colleagues in a multicultural and different time zone environment
  • Ability to understand complex business processes
  • Knowledge of end-to-end implementation practices across business analysis, architecture, development, and QA
  • Leadership and managerial skills, including large team leadership, strategic planning, partner management, company orientation, and thought leadership
  • SAFe, Scrum/Agile, or PMP certifications are optional
